Epicor Software Corporation (recently combined with Activant Solutions Inc.) is a company selling business software to the manufacturing, distribution, retail and services industries. Epicor claims to have more than 33,000 customers in over 150 countries. [2]

In 2011, Apax Partners acquired Epicor Software Corporation and Activant Solutions to grow the company from 2,800 employees to 4,000 employees located around the globe.[3] Following are some of the company's notable acquisitions/divestitures:

The Epicor 9 product has been recognized by Gartner as a “Visionary” ERP product and platform[6], and from a new software license perspective, Epicor has been growing faster than almost any other enterprise software company. Similarly, Activant is rated by RIS as the #1 software vendor for mid‐size retailers, is widely regarded as a de facto standard in numerous vertical markets and is in use by up to 60 of the top 100 distributors in each of distribution’s key market segments. [7] [8]

Global Presence
Epicor has a global presence with over 33,000 customers in more than 150 countries. Epicor provides 24/7 global support in more than 30 languages. [9]

In 2008, Epicor launched Epicor 9[10], an attempt to unify the previously diverse Epicor range into one coherent ERP system with distinct modules. This replaced Epicor Vantage, Epicor Vista, Epicor Scala and portions of Epicor Enterprise.
